Help!!

I am due to win the lottery tomorrow.

Any advice on where I can safely invest the £7.5M, given the current financial bits-and-bobs going on around us?

I can't invest in the stock market, as I would be back down to my £1 stake within a couple of hours of trading.

Property around the world...same problem.

Banks...would be left without even my stake once they have collapsed.

Gold, maybe?

This is giving me sleepless nights.

I had this problem when I won on Wednesday, although it was only 2 million that I won. Do what I did and invest it in the bank of Zimbabwe, with interest rates currently running at 131,000,000% I'm quite happy just living off the interest. thumbup

Seriously though, where do you put millions in cold hard cash?
Give it all to NS&I I suppose.

Just give it to Gordon Brown, you may as well not fight it, he'll get it out of you eventually, one way or another.

I was thinking about this the other day, what are seriously cash rich people doing with their money at the moment? People like J.K. Rowling (strange example I know, but I was trying to think of someone with massive wealth, and little business interests) or premiership footballers on high wages.

Just buy Iceland of the Russians, send the women over here, and leave the menfolk to toil in the fjords?!

If you have shed loads of cash, now is a great time to invest, provided you can afford to let it sit for a few years.

we had this chat at work the other day, you could put it into gold we decided, even property may take too long to go through.

how gutted would you be to win £7m then get only £50k back if your bank went under. doesn't bear thinking about.

did anyone see question time last night, they picked a piece of labour manifesto that said they would guarantee anyone and all savings, not just £50k, or did i see it wrong, i was getting ready for bed at the time.
