... well... close... I clearly should have said ENGINE smile

After much discussion with Austec, she's going in for a complete rebuild, and of course, obligatory mods redface) - RR upgrade and custom map etc etc etc... Yup - the full monty, uprated heads, cam, THE LOT. Even Paul was a little excited!

Whilst being a Cerb owners worst nightmare (dead AJP), swiftly followed by their dreams coming true (rebuild plus mods), I know, it's arguably the worst decision to date under the current economic climate; well, this side of Iceland at least. I just hope the winter's a mild, dry one wink

I'll watch with interest if this is the 'new' cam grind Paul is excited about. If its the one I'm thinking of then the combined knowledge of Dave's Martin & Vizard are behind it, should be interesting yes.

nerd As far as I'm aware this is the first completely new grind outside of the 6 different grinds that fell out of the the AJP8 programme from TVR over the years.

I'll try and find out the full gritty details... but am about to head off for the weekend, so as and when I get something interesting to share, I'll post it up...

I'm guessing all in it will take about a month. I think they were a little more optimistic than that though, as they had some components in stock already. We'll see.

Should make for the best christmas present yet wink

Any news on the full spec of the engine?? Is it going to be something to rival Harrys? Equally, Graham, what did you have done?

I am hoping we're still a good 50k away from needing such work, but always interesting to know whats possible... wink (I believe the Cerb is closing in on 79k now - though the mileage increases will slow for the imminent body off rebuild)

I had a full rebuild with new liners, pistons, valves, valve guides & RR upgrade. Goes really well although I have no idea what it is putting out. Must get it on the rollers at some point.
