Well after worrying about an ongoing electrical diagnostic problem with my SL it was back in today and they got the "A team" on the job - all at their expense, sent me off to work in a taxi etc.
Diagnostic chappie gave me a call, and he really knew all his CANBUS onions etc (as you would hope!). I was impressed with his depth of knowledge in general.
So it's going back in next week to have the offending part changed and we'll see what happens. Hopefully end of story and for a not outrageous sum of money either.
