ive seen this in the classifieds and by hell im tempted. Now, is it about a grand too dear judging by the painting that its going to need at the front, or is it best left well alone?

If it is a kosher Hartge then it seems hellova cheap doesnt it when a B10 is still £8-10k.

What is it's real value? and how much would it cost to put right? just by looking at the pictures in could do with £200-300 of paint alone.

I'm tempted just to have the bragging rights to say 'I've got a Hartge'. Is that sad?

A B10 bi turbo is a lot of money but a regular b10 is not 8-10k.

If you want a Hartge/Alpina/Schnitzer car then it needs to be original.

Why go to the trouble of having a H35 and then swap the Hartge wheels for e36 items and swap the Hartge styling bits for M5 bits? Doesn't really clarify whether it's a H35 (tuned 535 engine) or H35-24 (tuned M6 engine).

However, how many original Hartge-only parts will be available when something breaks?

Not having the proper Hartge wheels should knock a few quid off the price but it looks reasonable. I don't know the going rate for these over in the UK though so can't comment on whether 2 grand is good or bad.

Depends how it's been looked after. I once had an H23 (1985 e30 based) with 170k. Mechanically it was fine but the body work was shot.

In a perfect world, would this be a better bet to use as a daily driver than some dodgy provenance Hartge?

Has anyone got a B10 3.5 that could maybe point me in the right direction or am i looking at buying £2k's worth of trouble?

This is the problem i've got. Living in Scotland when the cars i want to go and see are all way down south.

I'm drawing up a list of cars i want to go and see, the B10, the Hartge and what is being described as a nice e28 m535i all around that area.

I never thought i could get a B10 for as little money, wooo hoo!!

i've got a little confession..... ive just bought a 1991 Range Rover V8 with an LPG conversion, clean and tidy for £1600.

It's the realisation of a boyhood dream! so thank you all for your advice on the e34's.

This is what i love about cars, plus the beauty of LPG at 59p a litre.
