There are a lot of 4.5 cerbs now in the 400+ bhp club, but does this affect the longevity of the engine ?. If so, I wonder if there is a power output beyond which there is a trade off between power and longevity and wonder what this might be, assuming that the internals are not going to be "beefed up" to cope with the extra power. Any thoughts ?

Has been discussed before a few times.
The view seems to be that a well mapped car is actually better for the engine. Once you start changing cams, increasing displacement etc then you are likely to reduce engine longevity etc..

The Cerbs AJP is a pretty agricultural unit, and I don't see why it shouldn't see 100k miles if used regularly and maintained correctly, even if pushing the 450 bhp mark.
