Should I sell??
Discussion
After owning my 400 for 5 years now, I am thinking it might be time to upgrade to a SEAC.The trouble is I went to look at one a few months back and was offered a great PX on the 400 but I just couldn't go through with it.The thought of starting all over again getting the car to the standard I like just didn't appeal, now though I am starting to think differently, mine is almost complete and Im sure I will get bored!
Somebdy help me make my mind up, should I sell the 400, bank the cash and wait for a nice SEAC or should I stick with my 400?
ps I know what the SEAC guys will say
Andy.

I think it all depends on what sort of deal you can get with your wedge. The main reasons that tempted my trade up to a SEAC were firstly the p/ex value offered for my 350SE (Peter Smith were obviously keen to get rid of the SEAC!!)and secondly being able to get some good background info about the car from RT racing who had done most of the recent work on it. I was also going to have to spend more money on the 350SE and I thought it would be better to invest in a SEAC than probably dead money.
Your wedge looks very nice - you would have to get a good money to part with it.

Thanks for the reply's guys,
On reflection I think I will end up keeping the 400 for the near future, It was a momentary lapse whilst looking at the Sprint SEAC special that caused it
Every Wedge that you throw money at you dont really recoup, although a SEAC would probably be best at holding its value,so looks like phase 2 will kick in in the new year, all new shocks, springs and stainless manifolds and exhaust....oh well its only money!
Cheers all,
Andy.

Keep the 400. Turns just as many heads as SEAC's do, and these days equally as rare.
Cannot bring myself to sell mine. instead, its a full restoration, and maybe a stablemate

That would be 2 cars we wouldn't hear comingKeep it Andy - it's a stunner..
I will be keeping it Seamus, cheers for the compliment.
And Dave, as much as I like the Griff, it would only ever be replaced by a SEAC....or maybe a road going Tuscan![]()
Andy.
In that case keep it, it's a right nice car

Its an old copy of Sprint, 94 maybe? when it used to be a good read
August 1994 to be exact. I well remember working though the night (literally) in order to get that issue finished so that I could send it to the printers before going on holiday.
Ralph
The most thumbed copy of Sprint I have
Can you wear words an pictures out by reading them?
