not sure the ford box is identical

i doubt the ford box will have an atb fitted for example

is your box totally trashed ?

no not thrashed but 3rd gone
want to put a new one in to make sure its 100%
my box already has a lsd so will get it put into the new box

You can do an exchange with ford for about £2000 or buy alone at approx £2500 as i enquired about a year ago. Try finding out if this has the correct ratios and fit your ATB.ebay 300141608118

Give this guy your box to re-build, there are various specs right up to handling silly torque figures.
His stuff is on a lot of high power high torque motors IIRC some pretty quick Nobles as well
Not the cheapest but I bet it's less than getting a brand new box.

Absolutely. AFAIK the OEM box is bog standard ST220 complete with plastic bearing carriers (!). I've just had my box re-built by CTS (aka gearboxman)gear clusters shot-peened and polished, plastic carriers replaced with steel ones and diff bearing replaced (these are what actually went) and outer case drilled to receive gearbox cooler. Just got the car back on Thursday. About 1/2 the cost of a new box but it does depend on the state of your gears (mine were all in v good nick despite 30K miles and >25 track days. My box is now better and stronger than a brand new ST200 box would be.
