I am sure this is a very strange thing to ask wink Especially on a Sunday evening!
But I need to pieces of acrylic, in any colour (but app the grey is the strongest in terms of scratch resistant?) but really not too fussed, as long as it's not realy bright. It is to be used to laminate a 12ft x 4ft work bench / generl table and as it's just MDF it get's filthy, and look's awful.
I'm kinda hoping someone will be able to get hold of some through work / on the cheap but if not then i'll go and pay full price. I also use alot of correx / fomex so if anyone knows good suppliers, then great. Let me know!

Thanks Everyone,

MD.

You could try Albion Plastics in Portishead. I was able to source some clear polycarbonate from them to make up some new sidescreens. They might have what you're after.

Robert Horne. We've got foam, vinyl or acrylic, whatever you want in stock up to about 3050mm generally, and can deliver next-day if you aren't too remote.

For a work table? Isn't there a danger of it cracking?

or the kind of strength you'll need a workbench, I can't imagine any plastic apart from polycarbonate being resistance enough to shattering. I used to buy sheets of approx 4 foot x 8 foot x 4mm thick to make guarding for machines, and it cost around £200.

It would be cheaper to use sheet metal or to buy a decent bench.

Acrylic will scratch like a bd. Surely you want good old-fashioned formica - cheap and lasts forever.
