Just get the right length.

What the eck is a stepper motor?!

The pain in the backside of every V8 owner. If your tickover is OK then don't worry about it. If it's all over the place or generally too high then you need to strip it and clean it. Dead easy to do, bolts into the rear of the air box (known as something else but the name escapes me) drivers side. Unplug, unscrew, clean off carbon residue including inside the air box, replace, plug in and away you go.

Not too sure about the wipers, the stepper motor now that’s a different story.
If you got a dodgy idle of a bad tick over in general then it's the bit to get to grips with first. OH

For location of the stepper motor here's a pic. It's taken from the off side (drivers) wing looking across and towards the center of the engine bay.

not too sure if its just a "choose the right length" thing re the wiper blades. Mine dont sit right on the passenger side as if they are not sprung enough and therefore away from the windscreen so worth bearing that in mind. i will be trying to find replacements once time allows...
