I am hoping to fit my rear lights next weekend - I think that the standard wiring loom needs modification for the new-style LED lights.

Has anyone done it recently ? Any tips ?

Thanks very much,
Regards

So you bought the LED lights LATER, i.e. you have an "older" version of the wiring loom (round connections for front and rear clip looms)? If so you`ll need to use a 20W resistance on each side in order to simulate bulbs. Otherwise, it`ll always seem like you`re in a great hurry when engaging the indicator.

Well the LED ones are the only type now supplied by the factory - I am part way through my build, and there is a set of instructions that the factory provide for modifying the standard loom, which I bought a few months ago from the factory.

I will work through the factory "loom-modification" instructions, but I was just wanting to see if anyone had done this recently, and whether there were any "tips"

Ok, so you`ve already received the instructions from the factory - I was just looking them up and afaik they`re only intended for the previous loom design. The new loom has these nice flat connections front and rear and didn`t need any modification. I suppose your LED lights are the same as these?

Ahhh.... I might be wasting everyones time - sorry....
Yes, my lights are like in that photo, and my front and rear loom connections ARE the flat ones.

I haven't examined it all carefully, as I only just got the lights sent last weekend.
I will investigate further - Thanks for your input.
