As this is my first Silver car, let alone TVR, do any of you notice how the bloody flies like to Crap on your Silver cars?
I have had various colour cars before, but none attracting this much anal attention!
My conclusion is the flies around here are all German, and when i am re-incarnated i am coming back as a Supermarine Spider!

some good polish and a few hours should do it, nothing abrasive though!

Hot towel on the bonnet for a few minutes - great results.

Should this hot towel be wet?

Damp will do. The warm water is the solvent to remove the fly guts.

Are sure it's flies? Have you actually seen them do this? hehe seriously though, there are a lot of spiders about at the moment due to the recent good weather and they do drop little wet packets of poo to the ground from where they hang.....I noticed some the other day on the very end of our bath - looked up and there were 2 spiders just chilling so I reckon they were the culprits....

silly

I get them flying around the inside of light lens trying to get out. God only know how they get themselves in there.

I live nextdoor to a diary farm and can confirm that flies do indeed love to crap on silver cars. My wife has a silver golf and I have to wash it then use insect and tar remover on the whole car before washing it again mad

Takes nearly as long as it does to get the Tuscan gleaming!

I've not used this insect remover on the Tuscan and would probably do as Da Murphster suggests and try a warm damp cloth
