I went to view this car http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/714630.htm when it was advertsied on here for £14995.

I noticed this weekend the price had dropped to £13995 and was then noted as sold. Its now for sale through a dealer on AT for £12450

This car at that price is a bargin and if I'd have known it would have sold for that value when I saw it (it must have gone to the dealer for 11K max, possibly 10K) I would have snatched his hand off.

My point being, if someone views your car but is still looking and then you are offered a much lower price from a dealer why not contact your old viewers to see if they will offer you a better deal??

Absolutely agree with you there. Nice looking car, also the Reg must be worth at least £1200....

I have done this myself in the past and sometimes you just have to get rid and cut your losses for a quick sale..

Cerbs are a really tough market to gauge.. some cars go for more some for less for no apparent reason..

How did the seller know that you were still looking ? Did you make him an offer on it ?

I'd told him after viewing it I was still looking at a couple more cars and only actually bought one this weekend. Obviously this is not a critism of the seller just a general thought, or maybe thinking at the price it would have sold for it may have been a better deal than what I've bought idea
