I was very very close to buying a mk1 GT3 in Zanzibar red from Lindbrook porsche a few years back.

That car had the registration number

GT3 1 (GT 31)

GT initials are quite expensive / popular so would have been a good buy.

Ended up buying a mk2 GT3 in the end but that plate would have been good.

Private plates are like marmite i guess.

I was after it...was told min at least £50k if available, so looked for my initails PN1 which was £250k.....saw it a few years back £40k, but remember seeing it in Whitton middx about 17 years ago on a mk 1 fiesta!!!!!!!!!!!MAD

Let me try and explain, GT3 number plate would be the ultimate plate if you had a GT3 racing team, which I believe the owner has. There was a PH thread on this very subject a long while ago. No understand still.

spoke to the owner a few weeks later , he never new what the X50 option code was?????

I just don't get private plates. Why would you want your initials or car model on a reg plate? Would you walk around wearing a T-shirt with your initials on too?

Because they don't need paying for? Would you pay 200 quid for a T-shirt with your initials on, especially if you could get a plain one for free?
