Cam belt went on the Galaxy today when the wife was driving at about 65mph .A replacement cylinder head might be needed if the damage is severe ,the question is are all 1.9TDI heads the same,will a Golf head fit for instance? cheers Andy.
you will have to find out your engine code so that you can cross reference it with other VAG units. remember Seats/Audis/Skodas also feature the TDI unit so dont limit yourself to finding a VW one.
Ok cheers ,I figured they might all be the same.Where is the engine code though,I cant find it on the car ,is it on the log book? Took a look at the head today,all 8 valves are smashed
