Brake Light Operation???
Discussion
Guys,
As documented here many times before, my brake lights only come on when I lift a cheek and press with all my might on the pedal. This is after trying two switches from the factory - both the same pressure to activate.
To give me an idea of how widespread the issue is, could people who have experience this please list their names below?
1) LuckyP - 2 switched tried, bias set by Factory. Never worked properly.

2) steve_d - Replaced with an adjustable switch which works fine. After 4 years the switch failed and has been replaced with another of the same type.
3) JoulesCanAm - only had the car a couple weeks, got told the weekend that I had no functioning brake lights - looking for a solution.

I'm still waiting for that PVL? switch to come in.....

Julian, thanks for your honesty mate. I want to get a handle on just how many have this issue, because this is the one thing that I'm less than happy about on the car. I'm really surprised that there isn't a test for brake light sensitivity in the SVA. This and it it is down right dangerous. I might aswell be driving around will 'Hit Me!' written on the bumper!!
Anyone else?

6) Robm3 - Lights on only when braking hard, suspect there's air in one of the rear lines though as fronts are locking under hard braking.

Thanks for your replies chaps. I'll be going down a custom route myself...probably. But as 'std' factory spec is my bag (where possible) - I want to exhaust the possiblility of having the Factory std spec work. I've bled the switch myself, and then paid for Charles to bleed it as I doubted my own ability - and both times the the switches only activate under what I would call emergency braking. The bias is good (set by the Factory - and even had one turn to the rear to see if things improve - nope).
So please guys, add your name to the list if you have had this issue. I would then like to present this to Ted and the crew. To just show them the extent of the problem.
I'm hoping the factory will be receptive to this piece of consumer research and it is done purely to get to the bottom of the issue - for no other 'hidden' reason.

7) Paul.B - Was a problem on my 1st car. Lights only came on about 3 times in the 7k miles I did in it. Going to fit either a micro switch on the pedal or move to the front circuit on this car.
