Celica GT4 clutch
Discussion
Just got an imported jap 1996 GT4 205 which needs a new clutch. Can anyone suggest a garage who know what they are doing who can supply and fit one at a competitive price. Cant go too far so 30 miles or so from Gravesend in Kent, say Maidstone Chatham Bromley Ashford somewhere like that. Thanks in advance.
PS. been quoted £600 all in.

You can get it done cheaper than that, I've heard people getting it for under £400.PS. been quoted £600 all in.
Try www.GT4OC.net
With a GT-four you need to make sure that whom ever you get to do the work understands and has knowledge of the car. If not things can get expensive very quickly!
For instance, a well respected GT-Four specialist is is known to drop the engine out of the GT-Four in order to change the clutch as its such a hard job to do in situe!
For that reason i suggest the following:
Ian Smith of TR&D ( http://www.toyotarepairs.net/ ) - a GT-Four specialist! - He might be a bit far from you, but phone him for a quote anyway as the cost saving may be worth your journy!
If not; GDA ( http://www.gdasportcars.co.uk/ ) is over at Tunbridge Wells and have worked on my GT-Four numerous times.
Also, although I've not personally used him, The supraman in Meopham has a good reputation and apparently knows his way around a GT-Four. http://uk.local.yahoo.com/Kent/Gravesend/Garage_Se...
