As you're all aware a recently took ownership of a VXR from the ***** dealership, I bought it from them as I was able to pop down on my day off, view and arrange delivery in one day thanks to a friend who works there. However since purchase I've had a few issues, they were:

  • Misfire - due to faulty plugs, which weren't picked up in the inspection!
  • Burning Oil - due to a badly fitted oil filter, after they serviced it!
During my warranty work, which was carried out by Mike at Darlington he brought to light that the nearside rear tyre was less than 2mm on the outer edge. I've since called ****** (9 times before I got a call back) and the service manager states that ALL tyres on all vehicles sold by them MUST HAVE more than 3mm on or they replace. So unless I've been doing burnouts and donuts in my sleep or the 500 miles I've done since purchase at 68mph on the motorway has chewed more than 1mm in tread them I think he's lying.

I'm not going to take it any further with them, all I will say is that I would not recommend you go to them for anything. I haven't once had an apology of any sort. I'm a man of my word and honesty and integrity rate very highly in my books. I will be treating the Ro to a new set of shoes this weekend, both rears at the same time, keep the best two remaining for the front.

The service manager was slightly defensive, however seeing as they sold me what was basically a broken car (massive oil leak, causing burning of oil, loose filter and misfiring engine) I think he was a little hasty to get defensive.

Their track record in my eyes if nothing more than a cluster f*ck of little mistakes, lack of attention to detail and bad customer service.

Other than that my dealings with them, including their sales man was a good one smile heh heh

I appreciate it's frustrating, but please don't name dealers.

You could get your fingers burnt legally as well as PH:
