URGENT HELP (BONNET ISSUE)!!!!

hi ppl

my 1997 s class's bonnet wont open it seems the drivers side catch wont
open (the the cable has come off), has anyone got any ideas of how
to get it open? PLEASE dont say smash the light, there must be another way.

desperate as the alarm has gone wrong and keeps going off so we need
to disconnet the the alarm and the mot re-test is on friday and we need
to sort things under the bonnet

This happened to a ML we had ... they had to cut the grill out to get to the catch .. warranty job BTW ..

i have heard its a smash the headlight issue, not happy at all. as
we thought it was going to fly the mot and it didnt, so dont fancy a
bill for a headlight on top of the rest. aaahhhhhhh

Ring the AA. They know how to get in to a lot of cars, they have a DB of top tips.

the word from the main dealer is you have to smash the headlight!!!!!!

WRONG WRONG WRONG, typical dealers, cant think anything out.

my friend has sorted it, take the wheel off remove the inner arch, from there
you pop out the indicator and the siren is there, disconnect the siren and the
catch is directly above it.
