As far as I know, the ECU is in the footwell, open up the box that's under the carpet (protective) and the 9 pin serial port is inside.i have looked at the ecu in the foot well but it has no sockets on it however there is a box in the boot which seem to have a serial port which has a cover on it is this it?
(I only know this from my notes
so can't proclaim to know, as I've not yet used.)Lift out the carpet in the passenger footwell, then in the passenger footwell - right at the end where the passengers feet would be, just tug hard on the bottom of that carpet coloured panel, pull it out and you'll see the ECU Box, undo the 4 allen keys and hey presto, you should see the Serial port.

The ecu is at the front of the footwell behind a carpet wall. The carpet is on a thick bit of card and is quite stiff. If you lift the floor mat up, you should see the bottom of the carpet wall as it has a foot on it, about an inch thich as far as I remember.
beat you to it
