Why are the government trying so hard to allow us to all borrow so much money. How large a hole are they trying to dig.
"Let's get lending back to 2007 levels", says the secretary. Eh?
And, WTF is it with asking an estate agent and a developer to comment on the state of the global economy.
I think the world is going mad.

All day long, on R4, they have been saying that the rate of inflation has gone up by 5.2%. Broadcasting Bullsh!t to the Country...
No, the rate of inflation has gone up to 5.2%, not by 5.2%. The cretins can't even use the English language correctly.
And another thing - mis-spelled subtitles, some even without capital letters!
Now, where's my entry form for 'Grumpy Old Men'?

I grant you they had to prop the banks up though how they did it was perverse. And what has happened would have happened with or without Brown. Though I have to accept that he has at last done something which is broadly correct.
However, the mistake he had previously made, in concert with others cleverer than himself, was to try to run an economy on a pyramid of private and public debt, and what the silly w
ker has been convinced of is that if he can get lending levels up he can get back to the prosperity and purblind optimism of two years ago and win the next election. However, increasing the level of lending is only part of the story.
A large proportion of people are up to their eyeballs in debt and have no desire or ability to get in further. House prices are falling and have to fall until they meet inflation coming the other way. The balloon is burst. You can't blow it back up again. Could someone explain that to the stupid dickwit.

I noted that in a trailer for the US elections, they only showed Obama.
They aren't obliged to be impartial about foreign elections shirley? Here is why they can focus on Obama, it will be a significant moment in history if a black man wins the American elections, it won't be news if some white man wins.

They aren't obliged to be impartial about foreign elections shirley?A fact which seems to have escaped them over the last week as they put fall over themselves to put Brown on a plinth bigger than Churchill's, whilst simultaneously getting orgasmically sweaty about the opportunity to tell the country about the Tories being the (and I quote) 'the banker's party'...
It's almost pantomime these days
