Managed to break away long enough to make a bracelet but kept coming back to the laptop. I find out if I'm an MA graduate or an MA failure today and am bouncing between here and my email account waiting for the news.

Yep I'm supposed to be 'cleansing' our contacts database, while the rest of my dept play golf at The Belfry. Didn't get asked as I don't play.

Unsurprisingly I don't feel too bad about spending the day alternating between here and job sites..

I spend most of most work-days on here, then rush like a bd on friday afternoon to do a weeks worth. The Italian work ethic suits me.

I think pron has ruined the sick day.

Once was a time where you would curl up on the sofa, dust off the Italian Job or Usual Suspects etc and settle down with a lemsip and a box of Mr Kipling's bakewell tarts or similar.

Now, one is compelled to appraise filth until one's testicles hurt. And what have you achieved? Apart from a new definition of 'sticky keys'?

To make matters worse your illness can take you off guard. I was once 'ill' and perusing some grot on the interweb when the gas man knocked on the door. I showed him the meter, only for 'something' I was downloading upstairs to start playing at a surprisingly loud volume. That was an awkward moment.

You should have said the mrs. was just warming up for you. That would have made the rest of his day really stty. (But he'll make up for it next time when you're not ill, and at work, unlike your missus, who answers the door.)

Either that or HE'LL then have an awkward moment and a sexual harrassment case when he cracks a joke about 'warming up' that she knows nothing about.

Either way, everyone's a winner thumbup
