Service warning reminder

Is it possible to reset the service warning reminder on a golf GTi Edition 30, or do you have to use the main dealer?

If it's on Time & Distance servicing it can be done manually using the service menu that an be accessed by holding down the trip butto and then switching on the ignition. I think it tells you in the manual.

If it's on Longlife variable service regime it needs either a dealer or a tool like VAG.COM
