Mate of mine is thinking of bidding for an s-Special on Ebay without viewing it first!!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...

It looks nice and the bad points appear to be superficial i.e. scratches/bumps/stonechips etc.

But decent hood, hardtop, cambelt changed, mileage not too high. Too good to be true?

I think that looks really good. Did your friend buy it in the end? Was it as nice as it looked?

Nope, he set himself £1,500 max but someone came in with and won it at £1,700.

He is up in Doncaster tomorrow looking at an S-Special in the PH classifieds though, so hopefully another newbie on the roads tomorrow!

It def looked a good buy at 1700 a year ago that would have been 2500, prices have droped so much.
Always a good idea with auctions to set your self a limit, so easy to over strech, & you always have to spend on something with a new car, or bike.
Better still to go see it if you can, buying blind is scary stuf.

He did. It was £1500 the car went for £1700. What's with the eyes?
