Can anyone recomend a good engine rebuilder in the romford essex area and roughly how much for a smokey 3.2 carrera

Costs for a top end rebuild vary from from £2.5k ish up to £6K or more, all depentant on who you use, their labour rate, what exactly is needed on your engine & the parts they use- genuine non genuine etc.

A full engine rebuild (in the unlkey event you need one a 3.2 bottom end is normally good for 250k)is considerably more expensive.

Autostrasse are in Essex & have a good reputation.

Paul, I cannot praise Autostrasse more highly. First class guys - Ken Campion was service manager at Lancaster Colchester for a long time before getting together with Alan Rouse to form Autostrasse in the early 1980s. Haven't got their number at work but they are in Priors Way Coggeshall
