S class- S550, S60, S55AMG

So considering that a previous gen. S 55 AMG, or S600 2005-2006 can be found for about 60k USD or so, and a current gen. S550 for about the same and a current generation S600 for a little more- all used of course but with low miles. What would you go for ? Also a Bentley Arnage red label 2001-2003 can be found for about the same ? Again what would you buy ?

A toughie. I think the Bentley is a beautiful car and has massive presence, however, having just bought an SL55AMG, I can now see what all the fuss is about....one hell of a car and an everyday usable supercar.

If the Bentley and SL were side by side and I HAD to spend the money.....I would probably go with the Bentley, but test drive both to make sure everything is as you would expect and more importantly you can live with it day to day.

Well I was just wondering....
If I were buying new I would also find it hard to choose between a S63 AMG or a S 600..... What would you recomend? It is amazing though that a used 2007 S 600 can be found for $80K WOW talk about depreciation....

Im keen on a S AMG something at some stage. Some good prices on the PH classified.

An E AMG may alos be good but i just like the ideal of a the big daddy with an obsene amount of power.

Arange more presence. S55 handles better and makes more noise. S600 fastest!

Hmm all of these have appeal - the S600 because it's a twin turbo V12 (you can tune it too, check out 'treynor' on the internet), the S55 has an AMG badge but that's the only factor selling it for me - it doesn't add up apart from that. S550 is the new shape so much improved. Will the power be enough though? I would hope so and choose the s550. The old shape S-class is getting cheap now though it still looks great on the road.

However if I could afford it and find a good colour combo and spec the Bentley would certainly be in with a shot.
