Hi

I have always had a soft spot for the RR and now that the TDV8 is slipping into the sub £30k bracket for a main dealer, 56 plate 20,000 mile HSE, they are entering affordable territory.

My questions are, does anyone have practical experience of the realistic running costs of one of these, particularly with a view to mpg, servicing, life & cost of tyres etc?

i accept that residuals are not going to be rock solid - if a main dealer is selling a car at this price, it can't be long before Vogues appear sub £30k and my target is to buy privately at c£25k. If i keep for say 3 years, i figure the most i can lose is £25k....

I've had mine since April 07 and it's now done about 18,000 miles. Long term fuel consumption is about 23.5 but that includes a lot of hills as I leave it in Switzerland.

Only had one service so far, it tells you when it needs one but it seems to be about annually or 15,000 give or take. That was about £400 or £500, can't remember exactly.

Tyres are about half to 2/3 worn but I swap over to winter tyres for several months of the year so that set have probably done about 12,000.

Haven't spent anything else on it, hasn't had any warranty work. Brilliant car and the TDV8 suits it very well, it's quiet and very torqueysmile
