Uprated Eibach springs worth it?

I've got some Nitrons winging there way to me as i type but i was offered uprated Eibach springs with them for £95 + VAT. Has anybody else got these and are they worth it? I plan on doing a couple of track days next year but i'm no Senna.

Hi,
The old shocks I replaced for the Nitrons had the eibach springs which had bowed at the back. Most people I spoke to said that the Eibachs were a bit harsh. My car now has the standard ones from Nitron and the ride quality is so much better than before.
So to answer your questions I havn't had Nitrons with the eibachs but the standard fit springs I am very happy with.

I have Nitrons with Eibach springs. It seems OK with a firmer ride than with the standard shocks.
I think it is worth the extra dosh for Eibachs.

Eibachs were std fit on TVRs, from my experience i wouldn't have them anywhere near my car and I told the eibach rep that when he called to see me one time some years ago, but others swear they're the finest springs you can buy. Hows that for a balanced answer lol!

Springs are cheap and the only thing that matters is that they are the right stiffness and don't sag. You aren't going to improve the ride or handling by buying 'better' springs. Dampers on the other hand vary enormously in their characteristics and in my experience within this price range it's well worth buying the best dampers you can afford, get them specced and set up by somebody who knows how to make these cars handle. Take it for granted that you will use the right spec springs and that this will be a tiny part of the overall cost.

Thanks all, i've gone for the standard Nitron springs. To be honest i don't think i'll notice too much of a difference and reading through these posts hasn't really helped!

Just waiting for Jason to fit me in, he said about 10 days so hopefully before i'm away again. Be nice to get a feel for them before summer next year.
