prob 2 is the speedo is telling porkis well bad

i recon 30 is more like 60

I nail it dowe the m1 and couldent get the speedo past 80.

trust me it was doing a 100 pluss i know from watcing everyone disapear

so dose any one now how much it cost to get it calabrated right.

as i dont fancy dealling with 6 nips a week

i recon picked one upon the way home with it the speedo was on 30 but dont i only just picked it was still getting the seats in the position.

if i can produse proff thaat I only just got it and proff the speedo bolocks and I got it done.

and take it to the court if there was film in it
whats the chances ?

as how the can you help it if you just brort it and drove a few hundred yards and the speedo telling porkis

as couldent make up me mind if it was way out at first

3 of us have had a go now and all vote its way out.

there was a To Car siting around last night up the industrial estate not doing much.

I thort about explaing and asking them to do do a reading as i went past em with it at 30 on the clock.

but thort better of it knowing my luck I would get a ticket or aressted.

I could swap the clock as i got a spare one
but if i do that and I got no proof its out if i did get a nip

Its a job to tell as there all truvelo`s round here

I reckon that would have probably been a good way to prove it..... and if he was doing nothing better he would probably have oblidged

There are plently of places around that will recalibrate a speedo for you, but the other way is get a Road Angel - and use the GPS speedo on that, this is what I do, as since i buggered about with tyre / wheel sizes etc, my speedo is now significantly out.

Leg. Not one to stand on I'm afraid.

A friend of mine recently bought a Fiat Coupe Turbo.

Drove it home. On the way, stopped by the old bill. When asked how fast he was going he replied "about 75 mph"

They did him for 107.

He took the car to Fiat, who discovered a faulty speedo. He had it fixed. Took the evidence to court. Got banned anyway.

Ignorance is no defense.

outlaw,

do you want your speedo adjusting so it reads correctly?

Or do you want to know the true speed ymph at an indicated x mph?

If the latter its simply a case of finding the measured miles which the local bib uses at start and end of shift. Drive up at down a few times at various steady speeds, time how long it takes.

Go back home to your computer spreadsheet, plot a calibration curve, make yourself a little table, mark it on the speedo if you must.

Robert is yer father's brother.

Sorted.

If the first then assuming the drive and gearing from wherever the speedo picks up its info is correct, don't know the case in your car sorry, then looks like a new speedo.

Something wrong with his eyesight/perception if he can't tell he's going over 100mph even with a faulty speedo. Did he not see every car would be going quite a bit slower? Did he not think there were rather a lot of RPM for 75mph? Did he think his new Fiat Coupe Turbo was a bit short on grunt between 65 and 75????!!!!

Sounds desperate!

True. And I'm damn sure I'd notice 100mph in mine.

But new car. Not sure how it goes. Knowing in this bloke, he was probably tuning the radio in at the time.
