Inspired by an earlier reply I made today which made me think of a load of music I never had but heard a lot when going to raves in the early 90s. Thanks to the wonder of youtube most of it is available to all.

I've already posted my favourite, Acen's 'Trip to the Moon Part II'. Here's another, Force Mass Motion's 'Explosion'.

ETA, let me hear your electronica as well. I have pretty much every Orb/Orbital/Aphex/Autechre/Squarepusher/Plaid/Boards of Canada/Photek/Eat Static/808 State/Arovane/Banco de Gaia/Biosphere/FSOL/Leafcutter John/u-Ziq etc type stuff there is, need recommendations.

ETA again, how did I forget this? Acen's 'Windows in the Sky':

I've been working my way through the stuff of Son Kite, Triptych, Tristan, Tikal, Funky Dragon and Ticon. Also picked up the C.O.N. Sequencer album Strange Planet, which is pretty good.

If you like glitchy breakbeat stuff, have a look at http://www.mono211.com/content/mp3s_mono211.html

I particularly like Hoffman's stuff from that site, as well as the Darkhalo track "Stratosphere Sniper". Yeah, some of it's rubbish, but you can't argue with the price - everything you see is free.

I never really liked the whole electro old skool scene, was very much into the breaks scene though, even though I was probably only around 7 at the time it was big :-) The first ever CD I bought was "Rave Anthems" on telstar.

Funilly enough, I got into it all through a local roller skating rink/nightclub near Chingford/Walthamstow/Edmonton in London called Roller Express. The place was like an acid trip on roller skates during the day with a massive DJ booth right in the centre of the rink playing nothing but old skool breaks/hardcore. Stobes, lazers, smoke and violent bulldog on bauer turbos! Good times! It turned into a nightclub at night, I can imagine it would have been amazing. Shame its long gone now...

TTF, QFX, Ultrasonic, Scooter....oh I loved them all. Tom Wilson - Bonus Beats on a Sunday I think? Used to tape it on my 'hifi' and try to pause during breaks... lol

Have a listen to Redpoint. They are friends of mine and sit very nicely alongside Boards of Canada and Plaid

I used to have Fantazia's Big Bang on VHS - someone nicked it.
I loved the dancing and the best ever interview with the Rat Pack - they were mashed out of their skulls...

O-Tex, UltraSonic, Altern-8, Ellis D, Carl Cox, Key 103 with Stu "In the Mix" Allen...

I love my Old Skool....White Gloves, Glo-Sticks and the flurocent jackets - Whistle Posse blow....!!!!
