Now I'm sure that as with just about every other forum in the world, the question of personalised plates is a total Marmite, but......thinking away idly whilst on a long bike ride last night, I realised that for those of us with a 06/56 (or newer) reg car and a 6 litre lump, there are plenty of opportunities around plates containing xx06 OVB/xx56 0VB, or ..S/O 6.0 V8.

The question is, what first two characters to use? AU has gone, HI isn't available - maybe your own initials?

Obv it's not going to be a "portable" personal plate, but an option nevertheless.

Remember the Marmite qualification above, so keep the flames down! wink

Save your money mate. Plod seem to be hot on Personalising plates and will pull most people with a doctored plate.

Nothing, never said it did

Ever since using a BBC Acorn at the age of 4 and being given 3 spaces to put your name in on the leader boards I used Sii rather than "Si" So I've always signed off and used Sii as a nick name, having the surname of Lomax might explain a little more too.

So I got S11 LMX for £100 from the DVLA, means nothing to 99.99% of people out there, looks good to me.

Would that be the Acorn Electron you are referring to? Surely you are too young to drive - I was doing my 'O' levels when those were about....or am I just getting old?

If you did want to "doctor" slightly how about GT0 6(blackdot)OVB or GTO 6.O VB? Legally it would read GT06 OVB, not quite as good. Checked on DVLA, it's gone....!
