Caterham? Not insane at all as they'll pocket a load of cash, get some more publicity and brand awareness. There may even be some halo effect on the rest of the range.
Buyers? Absolutely. When you buy a 7 you're buying the performance. I look at mine sometimes and wonder how Caterham charge so much when you, physically, get so little material for your money. I think they're mad spending £115k on one.
