EXCESSIVELY. I dont know how it is across the pond there, but here in New York City, every time I go to pay for gas or maybe pick up a pack of gum, EVERY TIME there are always a few people 'playing the numbers'. it is bullst, there should be a completely separate line for that garbage with two people running the register. today I snapped a bit. All I wanted to do was pay for my damn water, and this guy i nfront me is sitting there spouting out about 50 lines of numbers to play in every goddamn combination imaginable. So i grunted something to the effect of "yes, and your gonna win too' rolleyes

Anyone else have this problem. Here in Ny it seriously wastes peoples precious time when all they want to do is pay for gas or whatever. And it gets very tiring constantly having to say, "look pal, mind if I pay for this real quick'

I suppose the UK equivalent is people actually doing their scratchcards at the till, in case they win and have to queue up again to claim their £1.

Which they spend on a scratchcard.

You should have started hugging them and whispering sweet nothings into their ear(licking is optional).

That'll shift them, maybe.

To be honest it didnt really go down too well.

Do you own a 928? I'm tempted, but it'd probably have to be an auto, as I have 'limited funds'...

Errr no.

Hope your funds are not as limited as your imagination, or Ford Ka a better bet.

You've given quite a few opinions on 928's, so I thought you might know sonething. About something. Seems not...

Christ, get a life.

P.S. 'sonething' is not a word.

You think being on PH at midnight is a life?

No, seriously, you have opinions on a 928 and I am tempted to get one. But manuals are quite rare, so I may have to settle for an auto. What do you think?

928 is an awesome car, which I drove for c.20k miles 2001-2003. Mine was an auto S4. Very reliable and always a great sense of occasion. High mileage no problem. If buying a manual, get an early model (lighter); the later cars are definitely GTs.

Sorry if an ahole earlier, but rather drunk.

We don't get the same problem over here in merry England - we pay ours by direct debit - in fact, it's the same for the water and electric. smile

Slightly off thread but, the garage near me is a small sommerfields aswell. And it pees me off when I go in to buy my petrol and there is a queue a mile long with shoppers. So frustrating that there isnt a seperate line for getting petrol.
