Xbox Achievements and XboxLive

Hi,

I've had my 360 since they came out, I plugged it into the network briefly when it was new.

It's used daily but offline.

I plugged it in yesterday &logged into my account.

Now my online list of achievements is as it was 3 years ago despite having loads more on the local profile.

Is there anyway to upload my local profile from my machine so that if I logged in using a different Xbox the achievements would show up there?

I'm pretty sure theres no way to do it, stops people cheating and taking gamerscore off people. My mate tried it before but had no luck.

What are the benefits of having your acheivements recorded on Live? I always thought they were just for fun.

None really, but my Xbox should've blown up about 5 times by now but it's hanging in there, if it does it would be nice to transfer everything to a new machine.

It should do it automatically ? When I play offline and get achievements, they upload when I conect to Live.

All I can think of, is that your online profile is not the one you have been using offline ?

Nope, there's only one profile that's ever been on that machine; xboxqube.

Maybe it's because it's been years since since it was last plugged in that's caused it.

I wonder if there's a XBLive support thing I could ask.
