Ultimate AUC Bargain?

Two year old 730d, black with black leather, 21K miles, full years AUC warranty, and from a BMW main dealer for £17900 before negotiating? Has to be a bargain?

Seriously needs a rim upgrade, but thats some car for the money, given it was close to £60K new.

They came with PRO NAV, upgraded climate control, leather, bluetooth already. If you were to buy it on PCP deal (which most will) used value wont matter as it will be preagreed (and probably subsidised by BMW)Sign of the times i guess.

BMW ran a heavily supported contract hire deal on 730d SE’s in mid 2006. Some dealers were offering cars for just over £400 per month over 2 years. Probably a good idea at the time but the used market has been flooded with yet more to come (there are 7 06> going through at BCA Bridgwater on Tuesday alone)

Good news for the customer all round then - the cars were cheap at the time, and handed back with the PCP deal, and are now appearing on forecourts at rock bottom prices - it explains the lack of 'extras' - why pay for a wealth of extras on a car you're going to hand back.jonny996 said:

Well that was my thinking. I gave an awful lot more for an 05 535d Sport back in June.It probably would be a little harder on fuel than a 530d, and i guess its more electronically complex, and its an SE not a sport, BUT for £18K that is some value - an equivalent S Class is at least £35K.

Still under warranty and going through auction? Would there be anything that isn't covered, consumables aside?The cars have a 3 year warranty which covers everything including breakdown assistance. The only cost that might pop up is the 2 year brake fluid change and a service item or 2 as these cars can sit around for a few months before going into the auctions. If you buy through a dealer these items should be done anyway.
Just done a brake fluid change and the microfilters on our 730d sport and it was under £200.
It will do 30mpg round town and 38mpg on a run when not worrying about consumption, you can get it over 40mpg too when sat at 75mph.
A trader that shops with me bought a 2 year old S320cdi with minimal miles on it for £24k 2 weeks ago, so they are holding up better, but he said the Merc was over £70k new, where as the same spec SE 7er would only be £55k, so no better really.
