ok folks, who in your opinion gives the best live performances .

I've been to a few in my time, really rated Neil Diamond at the O2 earlier this year was good.

Also am seeing some former members of ELO tomorrow at a smaller venue, which i'm looking forward to. anyone else seen them?

Who would you rate as a good experience?

Blaze - Sheffield Corporation, back in 2000 - tiny gig, but the band on their first tour after Blaze left maiden, first time i saw them. cracking gig!
Saw Blaze many times after that - but the first gig was special.

Currently I would say Rammstein give one of the best live performances, although I doubt
if a Neil Diamond/ ELO fan would agree!

Possibly Roy Harper at Fibbers in York, stunning gig marred only by some scrote breaking into the car via the drivers side window and having to drive 200 miles back home when it was -2C outside.

Maybe Michelle shocked at Oxford Zodiac.

Possibly the Pogues at Brixton academy about four years back.

If you can narrow it down to just one then you've not been to enough gigs biggrin

Muse at Leeds festival
Guns n Roses at hammersmith Apollo
Rage against the machine at leeds
Reef in Doncaster dome
Presidents of the USA in Leeds met
Placebo at Sheffield uni

Musician wise, Kings of Leon are phenomenal, but fairly boring to watch

had the luck to see U2 in concert in cardiff..they were supported by Star Sailor and The Killers...was a good evening and all 3 bands were excellent.

would also say Pet Shop Boys and Erasure..both very good live. (and no im not gay) (and no im not in denial smile)

But for a dance fan must recommend Faithless.

Oasis at Knebworth in 96/97...whenever it was. Went to the Sunday night one. Was the first gig I ever went to...not what you'd call intimate, but very very special. Great support to, including the Manic's.

Queen at Wembley Arena
U2 at the NEC
But to top both of those Bruce Springsteen at Wembley Stadium, the week before Live Aid in 1985 and a couple of years ago at Crystal Palace..Awesome.

Crappiest was Manic Street Disinterested Preachers. Total waste of an hour of my life.
