Hello,

I am looking at buying a second hand mk 5 golf - I've been looking around on t'interweb so far at 1.9 TDIs, however I can't find a definitive answer as to the the difference between the S and SE models - is anyone able to shed light on this?

Many thanks!

SE got cruise control, ASR, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, rain sensor and alarm as standard. I think the SE also came with alloys. Probably also a few other extras over the SE.
Same engine, power, etc.

Check out parkers.co.uk for more info.

i dont think ASR is an optional, its standard on all golfs incorporated into the ESP. but main features of an SE are light/rain sensor, auto dimming interior mirror, cruise control and additional speakers at the back.
