Daily Sportscar subscription - worth it?

Looked at this a while ago, and forgot to research it further.

What exactly, does one get for their money? I mean, you get race reports, photographs, etc, but if you look hard enough, these can be found elsewhere..

Is there something that sets them apart, and justifies the 35 sheet price? Money that could be spent on beer, while reading other free reports??

It all depends on whether you want non-biased, on the ground, at event, in-depth, thought-provoking and above all, first class copy on the entire sphere of sportscar and endurance racing, or not.

I pay for it as I prefer sportscars to any other form of motorsport and, quite frankly, there isn't the amount of coverage about anything other than the Le Mans 24 hours, anywhere else, certainly not printed and not really anywhere else on the web either. And even their coverage of Le Mans, especially now it's tied in with Radio Le Mans itself, is better than everything else.

And I've not even mentioned the amount of exclusive content that is on there compared to other websites. There are a lot of 'sportscar spcialist' websites who quote dsc as their source for material on stuff they've had long before other media outlets.

This is just my own opinion though, I'm sure here are others who will think differently, it will depend on how much you enjoy a certain type of motorsport.

I've been a long time DSC subscriber. It is unquestionably the definitive news site for Sportscar and GT racing. Whilst there are a couple of other sites that produce content for the ALMS series, for European and British coverage the free sites just reproduce teams' press release or at best knock out a short race report.

As a non-subscriber you can still look at the headline page to see the quantity of news they produce, plus check out the team reports for free, although these are puff-pieces they show the high quality of writing and pictures that the full reports contain.

There are often promotional periods of free access with login details being announced at races or places like the Autosport Show if you are still undecided.

I too am a long time subscriber and I have to echo the above, has all been said and is well worth the money.

Is a great site for all things endurance racing this is the place to read it. More in depth coverage than other more established publications.

This weekend alone, extensive coverage from ALMS at Laguna Seca and the FIA round at Zolder.
