Since you have to remove the calipers,I suppose the hard bit lies there?
Once the calipers is gone the discs should be quite straightforward to remove.

Its a bit of a tosser of a job, but is worth doing right. Do the pads at the same time, might as well clean up the handbrake adjusters too.

Might want to examine the calipers, and rebuild them if need be. You can get all of the parts required from Ward Engineering amongst others.

Getting the calipers off is a bit of a bd, but it can be done, and yes, you will have to remove them to get the discs off. You'll probably have to remove the handbrake part of the caliper before you can fiddle the main caliper out of the chassis tubes.

I refurbed the rear end on mine, and took about 25 hours over doing both sides. If the diff case has gone rusty and everything is just a bit minging, it might even be worth dropping the diff and replacing the fluid. However, thats a drama.

I took the easy way out and got my regular (non TVR) garage to replace discs and pads, plus handbrake pads. Cost £380 inc. parts and labour.
They only had the car for a day and a bit.
It will be going there for its MOT too.

...Sick of my cars disappearing to TVR specialists for weeks on end, and then them usually managing to fk something up. rolleyes

I decided to drop the whole diff which was a pain only because everything was rusted. Once off it was easy to work on all the brakes, discs etc. I replaced/refurbed the lot and was able to get everything set up the way I wanted. There's a lot of good advice on how to do it on here..

If you are gonna do the whole lot, I wrote a guide to how I did the diff-out job. Was jetlagged and bored!

Happy to email it if anyone wants it. Not saying its the only way to do it, but it worked for me!
