Finally got one - My First Jag
Discussion
Well thats it, I finally gone and spent some of my hard-earned and bought myself my first Jaguar. What a car, lovely from front to back.
And, what did I buy ? Well unfortunately I couldn't stretch to a new one, but I did manage to come across a wonderful 2002 XJR 100.
Now, I have to say blimey this thing is quick. Not as quick off the mark as I'd have expected, but the point is that it just doesn't stop accelerating, kick it down on the motorway and the next time to see the dials your in serious danger of losing your license if Mr Policeman sees you.
Anyway, much as I'm chuffed to bits with the car there are a couple of things that I'd like to get addressed which I hope that some of you guys may be able to help with.
1) The paintwork needs a bit of TLC. If I had the time and patience I'd probably have a go myself, mess it up and need to spend thousands on a respray. So, I'd rather spend a few quid and get the professionals in. Its not bad at all really but I'd like to get it back to former glory of I can and there are a few scratches than need fixing up. Can any of you recommend any good detailers/paint restorers in the Reading/Newbury/Basingstoke areas ?
2) The in-car phone is OK, but that means getting a second SIM/Number just for the car. I've asked my provider and they don't do secondary SIMs anymore, so ideally I'd like BlueTooth. Is there a BlueTooth car kit that in effect pretends to be an in-car Motorola handset and therefor can make use of the existing mic/speakers and steering wheel controls ?
3) Head Unit/ SatNav. Are there difficult to swsap out ? It looks like the Factory fit stuff controls everything and that if I were to swap it out for an aftermarket headunit I'd just end up losing functionality like steering wheel controls & phone. Any advice welcomed.
Anyway, thanks for any comments suggestion that may come my way.

Clarkson's phrase was 'It's like being connected to the horizon by a piece of elastic'.I had a 4.0 Sovereign and its party piece was sticking it in '2' and booting it. Faster from 50-70 than a 911 apparently
