VXR clutch problem
Discussion
Following the service the machanic reported some velcro?? on the exhaust which could have caused the burning clutch smell. I'm a bit sceptical but hey the problem is cured. They changed all the fluids and everything is working like a dream except for the 15000m service and change oil messages which pentagon say they can reset after I've driven a 1000m.
I can live with that Woohoo!!

I've just started to get a really bad clutch smell when idling.
Is the clutch on its way out or is this a fault as its only done 8k easy miles with no doughnuts?
Thanks for any advice.

Talking of clutches. Does anyone else experience this ....
Since taking ownership of the car I've been, for lack of a better word, a p*ff when it comes to driving the car. Treating it nice, being very economical and gentle. However now that I've had some work done by Monkfish I've been hooning it once warm and coming up slip roads.
I've noticed that the clutch biting point and feel is the same all the time .... until I give it some stick, then it appears to be a sharper bite, with a slightly different location.
I'm not sure if it the adrenaline in my system/legs, however I think (IMHO) there is a noticeable difference to how it bites and feels.
There's no problem as such, I just wondered if others have had that.

Clutch slave cylinder plays up when you get it hot (design issues), your peddle will eventually stop working if you dont flush the system fluid and then keep on top of it... which BTW it a total nightmare to do! I know as Im there at the moment!
Do a search on clutch issues and read up, nothing major just a pain to flush.
