I soemtimes come out with crap such as my life sucks I work hard, have loads of pressures whist at work have little time for myself and when i do the goverement tax me to the hilt for it all.......
But this all comes into perspective when you watch this program on Sky 3!
Dear god when you see and hear these poor sods living as they do and speaking with a level of understanding of the world that would only challenge a 5 year old you think i'm so lucky that my ambitions are slightly more than picking out peoples false teeth out of the main sewage pipe going into the sea and showing them off on national tv.
Also why is this program focused round north england villages?
LOL it really does make you wonder about some people...

Nutter: Where do you wuk (work) then marra ?(mate/buddy/friend)
Me: (a Community Nurse
) Errrr....Sellafield marra (gulp)
Nutter: Deein (doing) what ?

Nutter: A B or C ?
Me: (Eeyny, meeny miney mo in my mind) just as a fight broke out and my bacon was saved!!
"Fuffin male nusses (nurses), they're all ravin' nobmunchers" was a conversation I'd overheard minutes before my tete a tete with the Neanderthal!!
Needless to say it was my first and last time in that wonderful, friendly and welcoming tavern!

A quick story about Maryport. A mate of mine, who was born there, told us one day that he'd visited his local for the first time in his life (he was about 30 at the time). "So what was it like?" I asked. "Dunno," he replied, "I was knocked out before I could pay for my pint."
That reminds of probably the same pub years ago-The Swan. Conversation went along the lines of:Nutter: Where do you wuk (work) then marra ?(mate/buddy/friend)

I went to Maltby in Yorkshire a few weeks ago.
I asked where house number 32 was, to a woman who was pegging her washing out.
Her reply was "Fu*k off!"
Followed by a fat man coming out of the house yelling "who the fu*k are you talking to"
I ran to the car and fooked off quicksticks.
Nice place.

I used to drive through Castlemilk in Glasgow every day for a year in the late 80's . . . I am so glad I live down south now, that was a hard estate. Even the police in those days didn't stop unless they were there in force. It's so sad kids have to grow up in that kind of environment.
