Had what I perceived as a rather amusing incident a couple of days ago.....

I had just replaced my tyres on my CSL and drove down a residential road. My tyre pressure warning light went red and starting alerting me by way of a beep.......I had never seen it gow red before so thought I had better check it out.

So I pulled over to the safest place I could find, in front of a bus stop, but not in the bus stop I might add.
I stopped at what was a layby but it had a yellow line.
What I am saying is, I was well out of the way of any bus, car or pedestrian and probably actually legally parked for a saturday.

As I am checking the PSI with my pressure guage, a couple walk passed me and the chap is shaking his head, initially I thought nothing of it. But as he walked past my car, he goes
'you can't stop there mate, you DO KNOW its a bus stop'. His tone was rather abrupt and almost sounded like I had parked on his mrs or something. Very strange.

He proceeded to walk off and I called him back saying 'I think you will find my car is not in a bus stop, better luck next time'.

Anyway, I carried on and seemed like a flase alarm as the PSI readings were fine.

Anyway, drove up the road and pulled up next to the couple at junction almost instantaneously and calmly / jokingly said 'Its great to see we have such pillars of the community still in our midst'.

His mrs (I presume, who looked like a pregnant penguin) said

' Well its better being a Pillar than a W@anker'.

So I just replied with

'Well stop walking with one then, love.'

And drove off.

I tell you what, its no wonder people get themselves into bother meddling in other peoples business. Afterall, it was obvious I had pulled over with car trouble, albeit minor in a place that was not bothering anyone.

I am sure these kind of people really dislike people with nice cars. Crunts.

Morning Rant over

Its just the standard system thats integrated into most BMW's nowadays which works on a pressure drop. Bloody annoying gizmo when it goes wrong.

Went for Goodyer Eagle F1 asymettrics - we shall see how they perform!

Didn't know that the Eagle F1 were available in runflats?

BTW, did you reset your flat tyre warning system when you had the tyres fitted?

I had the tyre pressure monitors in my old Megane 225 demo, god they were a pain in the ring!

It may have something to do with the french electronics tho.....

I've upset my neighbours now with my old Range Rover, the fact its parked in the residents bay outside my house parked beween a prius (uugggg i have treehugger neighbours) and a Ka just accentuates its size.

Prius owning neighbour challenged me about buying my RR, however as it was built in 1991 i just came away with the 'CO2 argument' of the prius's build and how by driving an old v8 im greener that her!

That shut her up, i wondered if she might throw lentils at me!

They are not run flats.

And yes, I did reset it - and it eventually worked.

My car broke down once at the give way line of a roundabout. Couldn't start it, nor push it. Noone stopped to help. So I sat on the rear bumper in between the flashing hazard lights and awaited the tow truck only to have some daft bint pull alongside me, wind the window down and shout " you can't stop there, this is a roundabout" and drive off... rolleyes

I have had a similar situation to this actually come to think of it.
I stay in high flatts full of old folk, Im the youngest, its actually great no hassle everyone is really nice. But some are just meddling s with nothing better to do.

A few weeks ago I was cleaning my car, were a outside tap is situated, where everyone cleans their motor.

After it was washed I decided to clean the inside of it. so I moved it around the corner (away from the soaking ground), granted there was yellow lines but there was hundreds of room for vechiles to pass. And it was clear I was hovering my car and not planing to leave it unattended.

I got a shout from a old woman on the first floor saying I wasnt aloud to clean my car there, I replied sorry.

She explained I should clean in the parking area, which is full of cars coming in and out most of the day. I said I was just cleaning it. I wouldnt be long. She sort of stuttered then called me a arse and said I wouldnt be hearing the end of this. I honestly felt like going smashing her windows in after this. I obviously just got on with cleaning my car.

I put it down to people having nothing better to do, Like posting this rant on PH smile
