Relay box under the steering column?

Can anyone tell me what the box under the steering column controls.

Can you give more details ? Where exactly ? (a pic would help a lot)

I think it's a relay box, has two banks of cables plugged into it and rests directly under the steering column.

Still need more info. Is it just a connector. I know u think it looks like a relay.
How many wires go in? how many out? You say two banks.
Is it anything to do with your none standard alarm?

The box looks like a standard TVR part and like the relay boxes in the boot. I'll check the part numbers.
Why I as is that I have a disconnected black and white cable, sitting in the cover under the steering column, that I have no idea where it goes,
