Not sure if this is in the right place but has anyone else booked their ski trip for next season yet? Ive been tasked with booking our groups trip again and have started looking today. Have the prices rocketed since last season or is it just me thinking that?
Who do you use to book, ive usually used Igluski but any other recommendations welcome...

Ah here it is. The OP was talking about snowboards, but I guess most of it is relevant.

We've been booked up since August. Going to a Chalet in Meribel in the 1st week in Jan. The cost seemed ok compared to other years/locations.
The best idea is to get a girl to organise the trip, they are better at this sort of thing and seem to enjoy the stress that goes with it.
The blokes job is to just pay up when requested, and moan continually about the place when they get there.

Yes. We've booked.
Depends on where you go. Me and the boys normally do France for January. And we tend to favour the Snow Train......
reason being that leaving Friday on Eurostar after work, you'll arrive in Paris for 9,10 o'clock, then your bags get moved onto the sleeper that will take you down to the Alps. Then it's a short ride up to Meribel, Tignes, Les Arcs, etc etc...
You get more time on the slopes for the week off, if you get what I'm saying. A plan ein comparison means you have longer transfer times, and normally only arrive at resort on the saturday when it's shutting down.
Of course this is only good for France, but deals must be good at this time of year but we always book in October....

Hey, i'm in Meribel for the 9th onwards. Hopefully it's good snow at the time. We've normally been lucky with France in the 1st or 2nd week. The best idea is to get a girl to organise the trip, they are better at this sort of thing and seem to enjoy the stress that goes with it.

Where are you looking at going?
Main problem is the exchange rate. My family co. is running out of pre-purchased Euro's so instead of charging at 1.6 to the £ we are now at 1.25. Makes a huge difference.
There are still deals to be had, mostly depending on when you want to go and picking an offer.
For example I quoted a group today at £714 for first week March for their choice of hotel. Two weeks later £580. All down to the hotel/lift pass rates. Oh, and they have chosen high end hotel in the middle of Mayerhofen, hence the prices.
PM me if you want any details on Austria.

Not sure yet. and not sure on budget.
I have been to quite a few places in the past 7 years all over Europe (mainly france) and its the Mrs first time in the Alps (just snow dome upto now) So want to go in with a bang (not thinking Cham). Another idea was to take her somewhere i had been before so i knew the runs etc
I'm looking for a medium sized town so there are non skiing things for her to do / plenty of restaurants etc.
My initial choices were Avoriaz (for the whole ski in ski out thing and it feels like Christmas there) OR Les Deux alpes for the decent sized town etc.
Again all depends on cash (self cater/catered) and snow
