Hi all,

anyone got any recommendations for an IPod (2nd G Nano) compatible car stereo

(must be able to control full selection from the head unit)

Cheers

Been done a few times now. Alpine always gets good reviews. I'm certainly happy with mine.

been through a few of them and always find alpine the best, though on some of the lower end models the menu system can be a bit clunky it still works very well.

fusion do a pretty damn good ipod headunit - well they do two actually, one with a cd dec and one where you load the ipod directly into the unit (no cd deck)

both retail for around 150 quid on www.caraudiodirect.co.uk

I have this one:

http://www.kenwood-electronics.co.uk/products/car/...

So far, I can't fault it - other than a minor issue when connecting with a Blackberry - it auto connects then drops the connection, so you have to manually reconnect. But that appears to be a Blackberry issue, rather than a Kenwood issue.

As I recall, the bluetooth bit is licensed from Parrot, so it's excellent - people comment that it's much, much better than a Nokia CK7W car kit.

iPod control is pretty good and it all hooks up to my steering wheel controls, too.
