Rugby colleague of mine at London Scottish asked me to post some depressing pictures of his trip from France to Holland. Saw a little spark somewhere in the depths of the footwell, couldn't get to it with the fire extinguisher so packed his bags, walked down the road and took pictures on his phone whilst it bubbled into a TVR fried egg. - The worst bit, Only had third party. ouch........

It may just be due to sparse reporting of the incident on your part, but I dont think that failing to reach the 'spark' I would just calmely walk to the phone.

Gutted either way.

Jesus, what a mess!

He must either have big balls or deep pockets only having 3rd party on a TVR!

He tried going under the bonnet as well - no luck.... I think big balls - and if he does have big pockets - not any more.

Surely Third Party, FIRE and Theft. No one sells just minimal Third Party. do they?

So no total loss, hopefully.

You can get third party only policies, but they're not common.

Bit of T-Cut will fix that.

Sorry.
Seriously though, that looks a bit of a bugger.

Unless he doesnt actually insure the car and uses his 3rd party from another cars policy. Not legal but the police never notice.

It wouldn't be a total loss, that rim looks like it maybe salvageable.

That would never happen to my car .... footwells so wet nothing would burn, well, except the mushrooms!

Shit though .....
