Given its half nine and not a medical emergency I thought I was get a online consultancy.

I have a solid lump the size of a pea just above my cheek bone. Its not part of my bone and its not in my skin. Its as if its between the two. Doesnt hurt and god knows how long its been there as I only found it today when shaving.

Useful/Comical ideas as to what it is welcome......

Have you been eating peas recently?
Possibly a lipoma, but I'm no expert wink

I wouldn't worry it is probably a blocked skin gland.
worse a cyst
worse still..nothing really don't worry highly unlikely to be the Big C.
Skin cancers start on the surface generally.
Basal cell with a pearly growth or a red patch and melanoma with an irregular brown blotch or freckle/mole.

Try a hot cloth as hot as you can bear and see if this liquifies the contents. Other than that try rubbing some zinc ointment (sudocreme nappy rash cream ideal) over the area. It will absorb into the lump and help kill bacteria.
If its not painfull it will most likely be just a grease gland.

I am not a doctor either just experienced.

Could well be a Sebaceous cyst - certainly common on the face, I chop enough out!

A trip to the GP could put your mind at rest (maybe avoid having the GP remove it though) ask to be referred to plastics.

Can you move it around or does it appear to be attached?

You're going to die.

I've seen this sort of thing before.

Tomorrow morning it'll be the size of a tennis ball.

Basketball by the time you get to the office.

You'll be lucky to make it to lunch without your face exploding.

ps. Can I have your car?

a spider has laid its eggs in the skin on your face

give it 4 weeks, the skin will burst and the baby spiders will hatch

the skin should settle within 3 months with some scar tissue

I had a similar thing a while ago but managed to conceal it with some carefully applied make-up.

I think you'll agree, its very difficult to spot.

But the psychological horror of seeing all them little spideys crawling out of your interior will haunt you for years. yes

Carry a can of bug spray everywhere you go, be prepared.

Not good as it sounds like you have just self diagnosed a form of face cancer. This is typical of one of the symptoms you have just described. It starts with pea-sized gland inflammation and it will continue to grow. There are methods of removing it but once it is discovered, the patient also suffers major physcological damage can which can be tremendous.

The technical term is uglius-facus or nicknamed 'ugly mother' and it can be offensive for others who look at you. I would recommend a course of plastic surgery and or a frontal labotomy.
