and RDS........
oh and heated mirrors
and heated seats
and, and, and, a big turbo!
Looks ok, almost "overselling" it imho - makes you wonder how good the whole package really is.

If it looks too good to be true, then it probably is!

How does it compare on price to comparable units? If it is way cheaper, then my guess would be that there has to be a reason?

there are loads of simular for the same money but then a kenwood one starts at circa £800-900 just like buying a goodmans as opposed to an alpine i suppose.

i would spend more but im guessing i need to change the speakers and amp as well as i beleive they run 2 ohm do they not and not 4 ohm as usual

Heres the unit i have in my GTS

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...

very good unit for the price if you know about computers, I've reloaded all the software and made my own menus so it looks like this now...

Unit works fine no problems yet and I run iGO 8 for GPS but I can also have tomtom so its had better GPS than a alpine/kenwood which you are stuck using there software..

Interesting, how does it work in terms of the TomTom or nav software? Is it running Windows Mobile or something under the skin? What kind of things can you customise yourself?

99% of chinese GPS stereos will be the same I just know this one is the one I have they all run WinCE 5 for the GPS side so you can run most PDA/PNA software. As for customizing you can basicly do anything you want but we warned its not a 5min job, Its taken me awhile now to get mine the way it is and im stilling working on extra things.

The kenwood/alpine ones are good for the mp3 player/audio side but the nav side is not so good and a pain to update. The sound quality on mine is fine I also run 2x12" subs in the boot all hooked up to the head unit so its up pretty loud and sounds fine smile

would you do menus for money

i presume you have to run all speakers from an amp or does it have a 'normal' head unit connector?

Its a normal stereo so you just need a ISO lead which im sure your be able to get of ebay or someone on here will tell you what lead you need, I made mine for my GTS.

As for the software if you do get the unit then ill just upload my menu if you want that but its still a WIP.
