02 mondeo bonnet catch

hi anyone know why my bonnet catch wont lock down ? it goes past the 1st catch but then wont shut down properly ?any help would be great thanks

Mine did this when I first got it, turned the key and the catch stayed turned, just needed a bit of WD40 and it was fine.

Whip the front grille off and give it a squirt or see if it's not lining up properly

thanks andy done that but no good, it was broke got one off the yard £20 good fun fitting it lol
