OK heres the situation:

Your a bad boy up to no good and have a hostage(s) that your demanding money for their safe release. You have to collect these bags of money without being easily caught. How do you go about it?

The one in that film where the money goes in a bin but he's
cut a hole in the bottom and gets away in the subway doesn't count.

Western Union? Moneygram?

Both pretty much untraceable (assuming you get to the pickup office before the police)

Excellent question. I've have pondered this muchly. I think the trick is not to ask for too much money. The less money you ask for the easier it is for them to think fk it, pay up, and not bother chasing after you.

Still tricky to manage the transfer. Accomplices with a motorbike through rush hour London seems like a good starting point. Lead-lined Faraday cage style money box to be provided by you

10 bags of money in different places. Only go for one, so the police are spread 10x thinner. Scrambler motorbike, grab the bag - off to a nearby shopping centre (at a busy time), into the car park. Dump the bike, change into the disguise under your leathers, drive out in the car you dropped off in the morning.

Hostage tied to large explosive at well hidden location. Bomb controlled by a remote that must be pressed constantly or it will detonate the bomb. You have the remote with you at the collection and make sure that everyone knows how this works. You die = no pressure on remotebutton = ka-boom.

Oddly enough I was thinking about such a scenario at the weekend. What I came up with is this...

Buy a distinctively coloured sports bag, fill it with books or something, and dump it in a public bin - the more isolated the better

Tell the victims to put the money into bag of exactly the same type and colouring and dump it in the same bin

Pay a chav £100 to collect the bottom of the two bags from the bin, then drive off as fast as possible

This will ensure any cops watching will follow the chav, thinking he has the money, leaving you free to collect the real cash.

1)Get guy with money to go to train station.

2)Tell guy to get on a train.

3) Half way through journey get guy to lob cash out of window of moving train.

4) Be there when it happens.

5) Run like the clappers.

Note - make sure no 'copters are about. #

Think this may have been in a film so I take no credit

I always think that when I watch those road wars programmes. First place I would head is the shopping centre car park if I was being chased by a helecoptor!

Problem....won't said chav look at the other bag and take off with the money...?

Yep - police or zombies = head for the shopping centre. It's sound advice.

wasn't there that famous terrorist dude that got away with ransom for ages by getting them to put the money on a machine on a railway track then having it bring the money to him miles and miles away?

You could have the ransom paid in diamonds and placed in a special box attached to an RC car. Drive it off (using video cameras) then have an RC chopper collect the box for added police annoyance.
